Too Long, Didn’t Read—
I’m Caroline, a hospitality-obsessed Santa Barbara native with a passion for helping other small business owners make their lives easier. I have fifteen years of experience in food, beverage, hospitality, events, digital marketing, management, and the small business owner struggle.
The Full Story—
I grew up spending my days on the beaches and in the mountains of Santa Barbara, frequenting farmers markets at least twice a week with my mom and watching my dad run his small business.
This family foundation gave me a real love for seasonal cooking, regenerative agriculture, and entrepreneurship.
After graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in English & Creative writing, I opened up my own food truck, Fogcutter, in San Francisco at age 23. Throughout the next few years the business morphed from a food truck; to pop ups; to running the kitchen in a bar-restaurant; until my partner and I finally landed on a business model that felt right to us—catering.
Fogcutter Catering was known for our wedding work, and we were voted Best Catering Company in SF by San Francisco Magazine for three consecutive years. During the time that we had the catering company, I also integrated wedding planning, floral design, bar catering, meal delivery for families, packaged products, and event rental services into our offerings.
Since closing Fogcutter during the COVID-19 shut down, I have gained additional experience in event planning, vendor logistics, and marketing through my work with companies like Outstanding in the Field and Wild Heart Events. When I’m not helping small business owners make their lives easier, I spend my time running with my dog, Billie, on the beach, attending my weekly Carpinteria farmers market, and learning about regenerative agriculture at my family ranch in Lompoc.
